Since there are a lot of different nationalities and ages here at the lovely forum, I started wondering what people really do besides play with toy soldiers.
What brings us the food on the table, what do we do to pay our bills?

I am a salesman (I really don't know the proper english word for what I do).
I sell industrial equipment for metal industries. CNC tools, welding equipment, plasma and laser tools and all that they need when they make, let's say, a ship engine. Basically I sit most of the day in my car and drive from customer to customer and try to sell stuff. I guess that makes me a salesman? And most of the swedes here are (probably) happy to know that the company I work is owned by a swedish mega industrial corporation ;) Guesses, swedes?

I sell 'em both, but no, I don't actually work for them.
Hint, three points. "Bergman & Beving"...

So true. I was a semi pro musician for 10 years and it was way harder than my day time job. We managed to put out three full length CD's and an EP in 10 years before we decided to quit. I respect everyone who is a full time musician and actually tour. Touring is the hardest part of the music business. It can wear you out in a very short time...

Two musiscians! Great!

I play the saxophone. My brother plays the Trumpet professionaly, right now he's on tour in LA with Mando Diao, the bastard.

What do you play Pake?

Bergman and Beving? Wikipedia says B&B Tools but I'm sorry to say that I've never heard of them...

I started as a bass player after I heard Cliff Burton play "Anesthesia" , moved on to double bass/stand up bass/doghouse bass/slap bass but somehow along the way became a drummer. So I played drums for the whole 10 years we were a band. And I can play almost every Metallica song with a guitar ;)

I'm an illustrator ... which means that I work my ass off in the cleaning business to pay the rent, whilst spending my free time making illustrations and videogame sprites and stuff.
I should have learned to play the guitar. ;)

I'm a student, currently studying Computer Games Art at University of Teesside, so one day.. that crate that you always get stuck behind in a game may have been made by me/designed by me!
In my spare time I work on sprites for vassak40k, smilies and icons for this forum, as well as another, and might be getting a "paid" job to make some adopticons for another 40k forum. (adopticons are those weird egg things that grow each time you click them).
I'd prefer to go into pixel related art, things like hand held games for the Ds adn phones, but I quite like the 3D modelling side of games as well.
I've also become quite fond of animation, we started learning about all the old disney films etc. But not much call for things like that these days, but its interesting as it can help with the GIF's I like to do :)

Hand-drawn pixel art is all about trying to make convincing animations using the most rudimentary tools known to man: your own hands and Windows Paintbrush. ;) Great fun to do, especially now that Old School games are getting popular again so that folks no longer say "eeewww" whenever they see a sprite that isn't made from polygons in 365 million colours. ;)

It's a pity that the old traditional way of movie animation has become all but extinct ... CGI lacks a certain charm that movies like Disney's Snowwhite and Harryhausen's Jason and the Argonauts did have.

Last time I played BB was back in 2003 or so. XD
