thanks CTL  the base...if i recall correctly....i started with a grey base coat, then heavily washed it with green and blue (adding the second colour while the first was still wet in places) so you get a blue/green kinda thing, in any really dark spots i added brown wash and then dry brushed over it with the original grey. Basically all my boys have the slate from the GW basing kit no their bases and i just wanted to match that colour. Hope it helps

the 'mid' grey in the foundation set....there is a VERY light grey and a darker noe...the darker one....I can never remember their names sorry but any mid tone grey would work, bought or mixed
