Dear all,
this is about how to play (mostly) nurgle daemons. My first experience against the new Orcs was really bad. I don't want to repeat that! So let us share what we learned!
My first impression from a 1250 points game with the following list:
- GUO, cloud, instrument - 9 Plaguebearers, Icon, instrument - 9 Plaguebearers, Icon, instrument - 5 Plaguebearers - 5 Plaguebearers - DP, Wings, Hide, Cloud, Noxius touch - DP, Wings, Hide, Cloud, Noxius touch
It was not a very good list but shouldn't have been wiped out completely! I already mentioned somewhere else that I don't like Epidemius. So I will try to field 3 DPs as they are the only way together with Grinders to have somehow fast and punchy units. The Troop choices are durable enough to hold objectives but not durable enough to stand heavy shooting and nasty CC units.
This will be my next 1250 points list: - GUO, cloud, instrument - 7 Plaguebearers, instrument - 7 Plaguebearers, instrument - 7 Plaguebearers, instrument - 7 Plaguebearers - DP, Wings, Hide, Cloud, Noxius touch, Breath of Chaos - DP, Wings, Hide, Cloud, Noxius touch, Breath of Chaos - DP, Hide, Cloud, Noxius touch
The Plaguebearers have exactly one mission: Pop up behind mission objectives, somewhere in cover and stay close to the objectives. They will be the group to come in on 1 and 2. The 4 big ones will be in the first wave. The GUO will appear in cover close to an important mission objective to compete it and support some plaguebearers. The princes will also appear in cover. Then I will see what happens! I think it is mostly a defensive army. The winged princes are all purpose backup to keep the objective-holders enough support to survive.
I hope for more!
