but managed to do a win, or something called like that.
I went to the TeckCon on Saturday, which is a Con, annual held in my towns youthclub - ahh sorry it's now a "MehrGenerationen-Haus" which mean anybody can go in there not only youngsters, really nifty politicians - woho.
Anyways, There was the local gaming Club
Imperators Söckchen -> Emperors ankle sock which were so kindly and provided the Con with the only two mini-war-gaming tables. 97% of the people, that were on this Con played Pen and Paper games.
So there were a Khornate Army, Religious Fanatics, Red Ones Who Overact Fasta, and a 'Nids army of the club that could be played against. There was also another guy that played orkze but sadly had to go very early, which means I was late
I decided to do a game against the silly space bugs, I thought it could be fun, since I didn't play against them for a long time.
My list was:
(please keep in mind that I was up since 4a.m. and the game begun about 7p.m and I had worked allready 8 hours in the burning sun.)Generalisimo el Renacimiento - Lord
-> in TA; Combi-weapon; Chainfist; MoN
Killing Fields - Dread

-> Additional Armour; synchro. Heavy Bolter; CCW
Eternal Birth - 10 men CSM Squad
-> Champ; E-Weapon; Meltabombs; Plasmapistol
-> IoN; Plasma Gun; Heavy Bolter
+++unidentified+++ - 7 men PM Squad
-> Champ; E-Fist; Meltaboms; Plasmapistol
-> 2x Melter
Lombardo - LandRaider
-> none
all in all 1001pts.
For those who are treating their minds with the question why 2 melter against 'Nids and Meltabombs or a combiweapon... I don't know, I would say that I lost my concentration hours before...
I won the roll for fielding, let my opponent do first, he won for first turn

Turn 1
Well, he moved all his units forward, shot with his Zoantrophs managed to kill a Marine from squad "Eternal Birth"
My turn was pretty boring, moved the Lord (red Cape) to the side of the ruin and turned the Raider into the direction of the 'Fex (right side big black thingy)

Turn 2
He moved again all of his units, and shot with the zoantrophs, killed one PM. No more victims to shooting. in this game on my side. He attacked with his gaunts on right side my Dread after it had gone crazy for bloodlust. Well the gaunts weren't strong enough to do any harm on the dread, they were meant to keep it busy until reenforcment in form of warriors would arrive (they never came

)
I moved the Lord, shot, moved into CqC with the 'Fex. Raider shot before on the 'Fex, Lazcannon did nothing, heavy Bolter stripped 2 wounds - yay! PM's shot on the advancing gaunts on the right side. Dread killed a few gaunts on the left side.

Too many Space-Cock-Roaches

Turn 3
Warrirors that were supposed to kill the dread stormed from the ruin and the gaunts on the right attacked the PM's in CqC, no real success after using the might of Papa and FnP they killed a few guants also did the dread. The warriors couldn't reach the dread during movement. So they died in a combined fire from the Raider and the squad "Eternal Birth". Dread killed nothing rolled only 2's - Doh! Lord kicked the 'Fex's butt and killed it. PM's killed another few guants. Lord died in CqC with the Warriors

Turn 4
Warriors on right attacked, also did the BroodLord with guard on the left. - No shooting except for one Zoantroph wich almost killed itself. In CqC the Geenestealers ripped "eternal Birth" into pieces. So they used their extra movement to get in contact with the Dread.
The PM's opened fire on the zoantroph on the left - BURN BABY! - well meltas are good to make short work on those big bugs

LR shooting on some of the Geenestealers - dunno if there were some victims...

Turn 5
Geenestealers killed dread.
somehow my PM's managed to kill the 3 warriors on the right side between turn 4 and 5 but I can't remember exactly how, and the Raider killed all the nasty geenestealers only the Broodlord remained. That's were we ended the game about 10 p.m.
I won 3:4 on Victory Points
Conclusion: Well, All over the game I hardly moved anything. But I think that was the only right decision I made, so I could shoot on almost anything within turn 1. And I think I used the Raider in the right way as a supporting unit.
A mistake was to keep the "Ethernal Birth" all the time sationated, I should had them moved once So they probably would have survided CqC with the Geenestealers. And next time maybe a flamer or two won't be a mistake...
In the end I can say those PM's rock! those seven guys kicked so many butts with only losing 3 of their own over the whole game. The Lord also did its role well as a suicied unit wich I decide him to become.
Cheers
