This is just one of a few tweeks and changes that are afoot to make the Papnurgle forum that little bit sexier.
We will of course keep you up-to-date of any other changes.

Note that you can return to the your 'portal' at any time by clicking on the Home button in the top right of the screen.

Or the big PapaNugle logo.

As you can probably tell by now the version 3 upgrade has ocurred.

With all major upgrades a few problems will arise (like needing to reinstall the smilies etc)

Looks like everyone needs to re upload their avatars, sorry!

Umm . . . It's really hard to tell who said what. The lines that used to separate posts now separate text from quotes. And the quotes seem more prominent than the text. It also looks like the avatars (with all the other stuff under them) have combined into one long continuous column.

Yeah, the layout is rather wonky at the moment .... it's already a LOT better then it was this morning though.
Quotes and signatures are also hard to distinguish from normal text .... anything that can be done about that (maybe a different font colour for quotes/sigs)?

I think that defined lines/boxes are needed for the posts. As it is it's very confusing where one post ends and another starts. Combined with the sig quotes it's a bit annoying. I'm all for changing up the look of the site, but maybe something a little more straight forward would be best.

A quick update...

ok so the style (how the forum looks) wasn't great. Unfortunatley we are constrained to a choice around 50 styles at present and can only mix 'n' match each style's template, theme & imageset.

As it stands the forum is readable, even if the smilies and rank images etc have an annoying black border.

New stuff!

You should have a customisable portal now, and we have a new chat box at the top of the board. This new Chatbox does however appear on every page (bar the portal & control panels), but it has a funky online thing, and shows each members rank/group colour.

Question is do you prefer this new chat box or the older Swamp chat box?

It appears that 'the powers that be' (the programers at freeforums) are playing around a bit. Thing should setle down in an hour or so.
