Festering felicitations to you all, my fellow connoisseurs of corruption!

I've been working on this Death Guard army for a while, but - having only recently discovered the playground of purulence (my main home is the excellent Painting & Modelling forum at http://www.relicnews.com) that is this forum - this seems as good a time as any to start posting it here too.
Here are some of the more notable miscreants from the rancid ranks of Pandemic:

Lord Kothaar the Putrescent, a Terminator Lord once favoured by Typhus himself and all-round cad and bounder:
Image

Quorthon, Sorceror of Nurgle:
Image

A Terminogre, which is what you get when an Ogre swears fealty to Father Nurgle and gets squeezed into a set of XXXXL Terminator armour:
Image

...and the full compliment of Terminator Squad 'Plaguewielder':
Image

Plague Champion Kharzhâl, another pre-Heresy Death Guard veteran and leader of Squad 'Pestis':
Image

Morsh-Hâl the Butcher, Possessed Champion of Nurgle:

Some Spawn who hang around with Pandemic:

...and Veteran Dreadnought Vvornth:

...give that this is the first Warhammer army I've ever made, I'm more than a little proud of having gotten them on display in the Mecca of Warhammer itself :D

I'm always coming up with new Plague Marines, but special projects-wise I'm currently working on a Possessed Terminator for a conversion competiton at Relicnews, and once that's out of the way I begin work on Lord Borborygmus, Daemon Prince of Nurgle...

All C&C is welcomed; more pictures will get posted here as soon as I have them...

Amazing work Svartmetall, and welcome to the forum! Your models each have a unique character to them which I personally think is essential, and your conversion work is brilliantly creative! How did you achieve that gooey texture on the sorcerer (who I assume is a Bathory fan, haha)?

I would love to see some close-up shots of that monstrous 10-man termie squad, although they might be a bit difficult to snap given their illustrious current location.

I'm keen to see more of your work, so do stick around!

Aye, I think it's really important when converting to think about the why and how of each model, so it's not just a collection of bits and green stuff but actually makes sense in its own right; I even do this with Spawn. I'll often think about a conversion for ages before touching plastic.

Erm, which exact bit of him do you mean? And yes, I'm a huge death and black metal fan...hence the online handle 'Svartmetall'...

It's basically a bunch of info from the interview I did with the woman who runs the WHW exhibition hall, just a little background on me and talking about my views on modelling etc; she informs me that a longer version should apparently be turning up on the official WHW website soon.

Your wish is my command; here are shots of all of Squad 'Plaguewielder', bearing in mind that these are before I did the rust and the final highlighting on them - I was so pressed for time that getting the painting done took priority over photography:

Excellent stuff! I just had a browse of your Nurgle 101 thread as well; really like the organic use of green stuff, and that Typhus conversion looks hideous in all the right places! Cool to have another metal fan too... do your tastes stretch to appreciating my avatar? :P

 Very fitting! Well I won't invade your thread any more with off-topicness, but if you're into thrash metal too, check out my site and forum at www.ukthrash.co.uk - general banter usually prevails over music talk, but it's a fun place if you don't take it too seriously, and you might find some cool bands (I'm James btw).

I've seen those Termies before on this very forum ... I think it was Tapeworm who posted a link to a WIP thread about them half a year or so ago.
Sexy greenstuff work!

Your figures are filthy! In other words: good work!

You're getting me inspired for my Nurgle CSM!

God damn! I love the models man! You make me feel like a nub on what I've been doing. T_T;

I may look towards your army as a inspiration to make mine seem that much more of the word eww. . .

Here's the Possessed I've been working on for a conversion competition at RelicNews:

And this is the crappy concept sketch he's based on:

...I suck at drawing, but I liked the idea, a sort of Plaguebearer-in-Terminator-armour looking kind of thing.

Some detail shots of the green-stuff work:

Kind of pleased with how he looks; the deadline is tomorrow night so I still have work to do finishing off the head etc. tonight when I get home from work.
