So basicly. strawberry bitch not a sculpter, this is acctualy, my very first attempt to do something from scratch and my first idea was well... scrapped (an idea of small ogryn version of nurglings with big stomachs, cool idea but for the future when I have more experience and use a wireframe before I start. ).

The scrapped work in progress:


I have no problem adding hair or other smaller details to other already done minature, but this was hard ._. . So I decided to go with something "easier" for this first attempt. So the result of this is more of "first try" at something I would to get better at. Anyway. Eye Creatures! Eye blobs! Awesome. I worked on that.

And after many "What the hells" and many more "Why wont it *insert word*!" I finaly sat down and tried to paint the minatures. Many things I would like to do diffrently next time, and I will surley keep working on the "Eye Nurgling" concept. Cause I really like the idea and like the way the eyes ended up lookin (No pun intended almost). So far that I would really like to try and make a Nurgle Daemon army based on Eyes. Sounds like an okay idea perhaps?

Very cool concept! My only two comments would be: 1. Make them slimy looking with a gloss coat. 2. Make some of the irises look alien or cat-like for variety. Great job!

THanks for the comments. There is nothing of value I can add to this conversation. Yea I've been thinking about the slimey look, will probably try it on the next couple of eyes. As well as making the "nurgling head" that pops out in the back a bit different. Or really different.
Good idea with different irises aswell. Didnt look up any eyes before painting these but that will be made for future creatures.

your eyes are really pretty, but i'll bet you get that a lot oh i'm surprised i'm the only one to have done anything near a joke like that. But in all honesty very nice, i really like them, very different, which is good because normalcy is boring.

Good idea! You could start with one unit. Perhaps give your troops a big belly with eyes randomly popping out. A rhino with eyes instead of windows. A banner with a big eye symbol... a lot of options.

I have infact been working on my eye army and will be posting pics in a near future (I hope), lots of different hobbies taking up alot of time.
And I am painting a space marine army as well so its hard to fit it in there.
