Hello all. I'm fairly new to Death Guard and this is one of my first mech lists for 5th edition.
Daemon Prince MoN, Warptime, Wings
Plague Marines x7 x2 Flamers Champion w/ Powerfist
Plague Marines x7 x2 Flamers Champion w/ Powerfist
Plague Marines x7 x2 Meltas Rhino
Plague Marines x7 x2 Meltas Rhino
Land Raider
Land Raider
Unfortunately I do not have my codex on me right now, but I think this is under 1500. The two flamer squads go in the raiders with the meltas following and screening the DP behind them as counter-assault/support. My only concern so far is the lack of bodies. Four squads feels small to me. I was considering dropping the two raiders for another rhino squad but then I would lack longer range AT.

Here are some things that I would do:
1. Add another DP like you have it. 2. Give all of the plague marines rhinos and powerfist in the squads. 3. Don't use flamers. Either go with more melta or some plasma. PM can handle horde armies with their durability. 4. Drop the Land Raiders (they may be cheeper than SM one but they are not that good). With those points get some obliterators.

Landraiders are AWESOME if (like Mabs says) you use them as assault transports and not as heavy weapons platforms. Load them up with something super CC killy and support them with PM's in rhinos.

wait, you guys serious? so chosen full of power weapons...nah you right thats not super killy at all...nor is lightning claw armed champion termies...hell even a PM squad with melta guns, power fist champ and a sorcerer will kick some serious ass from a raider!. rock up, jump out, melta gun and wind of chaos then charge....now have two of those in two raiders, and your telling me DG has nothing killy?

I3 doesnt really bother PM's as they can take all the beating from normal units anyway. They just giggle when a vanilla marine hits them in the stomache.

An as Lazarus says, don't really care about having a low i. I won combats against a full ork mob led by a warboss with a pm squad led by a sorcerer. And they usually win against most foes, you just have to who your gonna assault and soften them up with some shooting first. Works like a charm!

I like the idea of the dual Landraider force. It is Mech for sure and the ability to supplement firepower with the Lascannons from the LR will be useful. Not to mention the fact that they are bunkers, provide cover if I am not mistaken and look awesome when you take the Greenstuff and conversion power to them. Of course I am driven more by look than function at times so take this with a grain of slat.
As for the rest of the list, I find it hard not to take Plasma guns at every chance and meltas are much loved in my armies as well. I tend to take 2 of the same and see that around here a lot as well. I hate to see the units without Champs though and wonder if dropping a single Raider from the list and giving that squad a Rhino and using the points to trick out the squads would be worth it to you? I would love to see 3 Rhino Squads and 4th squad rolling in the raider with champs all around and perhaps even a Sorcerer in the Raider unit. I am new to the board and have been away from 40K for some time though so I might be suggesting something that is full of fail.

Thanks for the link Mab. I have read it and I think it is very good. I used to be an advocate of plasma and fist champs, but I I think the points are better spent on more guys and their rides. I also like rolling up on a squad, jumping out and flaming them, then charging the survivors. Plasma, as much as I like it, doesn't let me do this and with only 27 guys in the army I really need everyone to be up front and fighting. Thanks for the replies so far. @Phil: Sorry for being an idiot about DG not having anything super killy.
